Terms and Conditions for Purchasing at Auction Through Autospecs Ltd

By accepting the services of Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions whether you have read them or not.

Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) supplies used cars and clients should expect wear and tear and not new cars.

These vehicles are not in the possession of Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com). Condition and grading are assessed by staff employed by the auction houses with no connection to Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) and they prepare an inspection report. Staff contracted by Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) further inspect vehicles with their inspection based around the official auction house inspection report but offers no warranty or guarantee of condition, and the purchaser purchases at his or her own risk.

It should be noted that the auction houses provide no guarantee of condition and accept no claims for accident, repaired or modified cars. They accept no claim after a few days of purchases for vehicles of any grade.

Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) cannot be held responsible nor liable for anything beyond its control. This includes but is not limited to: differences in regulations between Japan and buyer's country; any errors or damage caused by auction houses, transporters, shipping companies and shipping agents; shipping availability and schedules; any costs and/or expenses incurred; mechanical and/or electronic failures; corrosion; exchange rates; force majeure (flooding, war etc).

The full cost of the vehicle must be paid as directed within 3 working days of notification of a successful bid along with any applicable pre-shipment inspections, freight and insurance charges and costs and fees. Failure to pay to the above shedule may result in the vehicle(s) being resubmitted to auction at the expense of the customer.

Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) will impose discretionary bidding fees on any client abusing our system by submitting numerous unsuccessful bids.

If a customer requests a refund after Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) purchases or makes an agreement to purchase a vehicle on the customer’s behalf, monies sent will be returned less bank fees, an administration fee of 20,000 Yen, and any losses incurred. Further, the customer will be liable for any losses exceeding the amount of any monies sent.

The customer is responsible for all import procedures and taxes and costs at the destination country. It is the clients duty to notify us of any special conditions when bidding.

Documents (other than Bill of Lading, deregistration certificate and invoice) necessary for import and pre-shipment tests will be provided on request at the customer’s expense. The customer is required to notify Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) of such requirements within 24 hours of submitting a form to purchase a vehicle.

Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) reserves the right to bid up to 20,000 Yen above the bidder's maximum bid price.

Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) reserves the right to make additional inland transportation charges to move a car to a port necessary for prompt shipping to the detination country.

Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) or their agent of choice will export the vehicle(s) from Japan.

Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) and the customer submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court of Japan with respect to any dispute arising from these terms and conditions.

If any provision of this contract is later held invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid.

Autospecs Limited (japaneseusedcars.com) reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
